Skymapping is a photographic film which documents and maps the infrastructural imprinted skyscapes from Alexanderplatz to Schönhauser Allee in Berlin, using analogue and digital photographs. Through the processes of layering, deconstruction and reconstruction artificial skyscapes were produced. But what does artificial mean, when we already imprinted the sky ourselves? How will our future skyscapes look like when the ground is already occupied and the only open space that is left to densify cities in a greater amount is the sky?
